Commemorating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Her Majesty

Queen Elizabeth II

1926 - 2022

After 70 years of service, Her Majesty The Queen is the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee.

Other long serving monarchs include Queen Victoria, who reigned over an Empire for 63 years and seven months, George III who, as King for 59 years and three months, saw the loss of the American colonies and the Battle of Waterloo, and patron of the Arts, Henry III, who was on the throne for 56 years.

During her reign our Queen has introduced the Royal Walkabout, repeated her pledge of service during her Silver Jubilee year, and reflected on her ‘Annus Horribilis’ in 1992 as the marriages of Prince Charles, Prince Andrew and Princess Anne all came to an end and fire broke out at Windsor Castle.
